Abir Shadman

Bio

Abir Shadman is a senior Ph.D. student in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), planning to graduate in a year. He is supervised by Prof. Jimmy Zhu. His research focuses on the intriguing physics of rotational magnetic waves and novel applications built on top of it. Before joining CMU, Abir completed his B.Sc. degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He also completed his M.Sc. from the same institution. His M.Sc. thesis was on exploring the electronic properties of 2D material transistors for sensing applications. Abir is always interested in semiconductor physics; nowadays, more leaning towards spin devices.
